 ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Rachel Bevan is the founder of Roots and Bass and has spent nearly two decades working at the heart of global sound system culture.

Best known for her long-standing role managing the legendary Channel One Sound System, she has built a respected reputation across the international reggae, Caribbean and bass music scene.

Through years of touring, artist management and collaboration with promoters and festivals worldwide, Rachel has developed a strong international network and deep understanding of both the creative and logistical sides of live performance.

Her work is driven by a simple belief — that music, community and sound system culture have the power to bring people together.

Roots and Bass reflects that ethos, representing artists who honour the foundations while pushing the sound forward.
